The hardware used above is the same as I showed on Wednesday; what's in the pictures is the Alix2c3 -- yet the page mistakenly lists it as being an Alix3c2, which which can't be, because the Alix3c2 only has 1 ethernet interface. pfSense is downloadable for free, as is Voyage Linux (Debian based), Zeroshell, OpenWRT, or many others.
