Many improvements aren't expensive.  In the past few weeks I've added an 
under-desk keyboard drawer ($30) and a task chair that has arms ($45), 
which both made a big difference to my wrists and arms.  And of course a 
stretch break costs nothing.  With more research I'm hoping to find 
inexpensive solutions that are, say, 90% as effective as the expensive ones.
