I had not heard of Github before now. Neat. I went the route of setting up my own hosting with GitWeb and Git-Daemon, which were a little strange in terms of configuration. Each repository then needs the configuration tweaked to make it downloadable via the Git-Daemon, and the repo has to be initialized differently if it's going to be a shared repository (but the initialization can be done after-the-fact if required -- specifically it requires 'git-init --shared=all'). > With the wealth of info coming out here, perhaps a good talk for October > might be: "Publishing Open Source Software"? I definitely wouldn't mind helping out and presenting at least part of a "tag-team" talk on this for November. -- Chris -- Chris Knadle [EMAIL PROTECTED]
