   I had not heard of Github before now.  Neat.

   I went the route of setting up my own hosting with GitWeb and Git-Daemon, 
which were a little strange in terms of configuration.  Each repository then 
needs the configuration tweaked to make it downloadable via the Git-Daemon, 
and the repo has to be initialized differently if it's going to be a shared 
repository (but the initialization can be done after-the-fact if required -- 
specifically it requires 'git-init --shared=all').

   Yep.  I think the talk should also cover the basics of source control 
management use, if possible.

   I definitely wouldn't mind helping out and presenting at least part of 
a "tag-team" talk on this for November.
