Does anyone know how to make a USB pen with Ubuntu boot on a T43. I have
tried with 7.10 and 8.04...I don't think it is a version issue but rather a
setting in the T43 BIOS.

That thread seems to point to a resolution by disabling FDD boots but that
hasn't seemed to help. I moved everything out of the boot sequence except
USB HDD, laptop boots then hangs with "SYSLINUX 3.62 2008-03-01 EBIOS
Copyright (C) 1994-2008 H. Peter Anvin" then a blinking cursor... It never
boots past this point, this occurs before the ubuntu menu just after the
POST. I can boot with a CD-R but I wanted to configure the laptop to see
how well it would work and add packages, which is why I would like to get a
persistant install on the USB, plus the USB is much faster. I saw quite a
few T43's at some of the meetings any help would be greatly appreciated.
