If the presenter has slides I don't copy anything off them since most of them post the slides (and you can ask for them if they don't). Otherwise, I just write down googleable words so I can keep up with what the presenter is saying. So far, when I've seen somone on a computer at the LUG they've almost always been writing code. -- John D.
