Yep -- FAT32 partitions up to 137 GB, and NTFS read-only support. A quick overview of the filesystem support in OS X: http://www.kernelthread.com/mac/osx/arch_fs.html > My 1 TB USB HD arrived (Fantom GD1000EU), and it's very quiet and > after 24 hours of continuous use ('mke2fs -ccj') it isn't even > warm. Formatting a drive over USB takes far longer than normal. And ext3 requires pre-allocating all of the inodes during the format, which is most of what makes formatting it slow in general. -- Chris -- Chris Knadle [email protected] _______________________________________________ Mid-Hudson Valley Linux Users Group http://mhvlug.org http://mhvlug.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mhvlug Upcoming Meetings (6pm - 8pm) MHVLS Auditorium Feb 4 - Ruby on Rails Mar 4 - TBD Apr 1 - TBD
