Before reinstalling I used to see loaded modules that had snd_hda_*alsa in the name. On most systems I'm used to seeing about 8 modules load, and for Intel HDA there are a lot more available than now load. > You may not have the ALSA utilities installed, but that doesn't mean > anything.
