It's good that Greg called out Google for not aggressively pushing their
code upstream, but it's not like their code is closed.  You just won't
be able to pull a kernel.org source tree and build a new kernel for
android.  Instead you have to get it from http://android.git.kernel.org/
if you are so inclined.
