Can you define "works"?
Is NCQ important? PCI, PCI-e?
I wouldn't get that card regardless, it only supports 1.5GB/S. Some of those
chips have issues auto-negotiating with SATA 3GB/S drives. Unfortunately
linux-ata.org is no longer up, that had great info on chip support for NCQ.
Maybe waybackmachine it!

linuxserver?
I purchased this card a while back. I have yet to build my NAS with it,
due to $ for drives not available....
I has good Linux support and and comes with two SATA cables and pwr
adapters for 30 bucks shipped....Good Deal

My home server is finally in need of adding some sata drives to it,

Anyone have recommendations on a 4 port sata controller card that works
well in linux? Raid will all be in software, so no need for fancy stuff
on the card.
Thanks in advance,
