Clyde, FAT32 has a hard 4GB file size limit. There's no way around it, it's not "only in XP." You COULD use exFAT, Extended FAT. Windows XP/Server 2003 w/ SP2, Vista w/ SP1, and Win7 support this filesystem. On the downside this means that you can't write to the drive with Linux.
