Western Mass Hackerspace is a group formed to get a physical space where members can get together to share, learn, create and collaborate with each other. Anyone can join, regardless of experience. So if you're interested in making things, hacking, programming or just hanging out with like-minded individuals, come join us. We plan on having tiered member rates ranging from free to $50/month depending on your level of participation. Currently we are in the process of looking for a space. We found a suitable location in Easthampton and hope it would take five or six members willing to contribute $50 a month to get up and running. One of our current projects is to send a weather balloon with a payload into near-space and capture pictures of the Earth's horizon. This project is apart of a larger competition. We would also like to hold open hacking events, teach classes, have geeky parties, and do pretty much anything that gets people making stuff.
