Correct, the current release for the general public is GPU2. However, the GPU3 client is the planned future client. fold...@home is actively working very hard on improving the performance GPU hardware. So, it is best to plan for future. By the way, it seems that most of the problems for the new wine wrapper for the GPU3 client have been solved.
