Is there any way that you can tell if you are looking at a Hayes Modem or a Win modem, such as the number of things wired into it or something?
I have a stack of modems. One is a Hayes modem that I can use to send faxes,and the rest are win modems that I can safely deep six. I don't want to spend the time trying all of them on to a tower to see if they will go online in Linux.
