An "MIT spin-out"? Sounds like a wreck. I'd have more confidence in a spinoff!

As for the processor itself, so what are they doing? Hard to tell, with all the breathless hyperbole. An instruction set optimized for fuzzy logic or some similar probability-based algorithms? That's possible. After all, there are specialty processors for image processing, graphics display, security encode/decode, etc.
