Does anyone know of any free or inexpensive intranet search engines out
there that have worked well for them?

I recently pulled down a copy of www.d20srd.org, which has a bunch of open
source rules for games like D&D. My intention was to host my own copy of
the website on my LAN and add proprietary information to these pages that
the original page creator wasn't allowed to publish so that I could have one
repository of all the rulebooks I own. The problem with this idea is that
d20srd is a couple hundred html files strong, navigating through the
hyperlinks works most of the time, but it's by far easier and faster to
navigate via google searches.

I don't want to put my copy of the webpage online for google to index though
because it's going to contain information that could get me sued for
publishing. Google sells some intranet solutions, but they're not posting
their prices so I'm guess this is one of those situations where if you have
to ask, you can't afford it, and really, this is just for a game, so there
isn't all that much I'm willing to spend on making this work.

Any suggestions?
