I know that this area has a preference for Drupal[and I can understand that from the point of view of more half baked tools in different categories to tweak to perfection...on the other hand, it's old functional programming style just rubs me the wrong way which is why I prefer tweaking object oriented Joomla code].
But for any of those of you out there interested in Joomla, the NYC Joomla User's group will be hosting a 2 day Joomladay event: http://www.joomladaynyc.com/ December 4th and 5th. I'll be going down both days to do a couple presentations, one on hacking Joomla code for non coders and one on using the Joomla API to extend custom components rather than re-inventing the wheel and creating a new API into your system. http://www.joomladaynyc.com/index.php/workshops Just figured I'd pass it on.
