I am looking to use an android device to administer cisco routers, well more importantly do the initial setup after that I can ssh.
Previously on devices without a com port I would do a usb - db9 which went to the com cable. my question is a. are the prerequisite usb-db9 drivers available for android ? b. if not is there some methodology I am not thinking of ? c. I saw a post about someone trying one of these ,<http://www.usconverters.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65&products_id=228>no word as to if it worked, has anyone else had success with one of these + android, or something comparable ? P.S. I know Ed posted about the Time Warner Cable positions available, I have worked there with Ed for a number of years and can attest to the pleasant workplace environment, its a good gig and we need more people to talk about Linux so me and Ed are less bored.
