Watson is a Linux cluster, SLES11 SP1 from my notes. My team was briefly
involved with an NFS bug with it.

Yes, when I was a sysadmin there in 2005 it was fedora 2 for the
couple of hundred racks of intel xeons and amd opterons. But the 100+
machines for watson are powerpcs. Aix 6.x is the operating system of
choice for the powerpc.
