Mark, My $.02 : I've spent the past few years with a Sprint cell modem, before they started putting the 5GB/month limit on connections. Curious about how much I used, in case I wanted to switch to a different plan, I started tracking statements. My heaviest usage month was 28GB. This was a lot, in cell modem terms, but if you can get 40GB for $5, that would not be a much at all. Those prices don't sound bad, honestly. Francesca: So, you can get maximum of 120 GB for $15. Francesca: The maximum usage overage fee of $60 per month will continue to apply for usage of 300 GB or less. Francesca: There will be an extreme usage charge of $1.00 for every GB of usage exceeding 300 GB per month. (I never thought of myself as an extremist, but someone who downloads all of his software through an Ubuntu mirror site might be.) Francesca: Let me give you the few examples. Francesca: With 50 GB, you can download 73 Movies or, 12,500 Songs or , 50,000 digital pictures or, Visit 1,250,000 web pages or send 3,000,000 emails. Francesca: and Francesca: With 75 GB, you can download 109 Movies or, 18,750 Songs or, 75,000 digital pictures or, Visit 1,850,000 web pages or send 5,500,000 emails. It would be hard to find a consumer who sends five million emails a month but never downloads a movie or visits a web page. |
