I'm using Intel's compiler. The original BIOS was compiled with IASL
20051117, I guess the new compiler doesn't like decompiling/recompiling what
was produced by the 2005 compiler. I tried finding source to that compiler
with no luck, and the 2006 packages I found won't compile with more modern
versions of bison. I'm going to try installing Slack 11 in a VM just to
build 2006 IASL and see how that goes.. but I'd really like the 2005
version. It was in Ubuntu of that era, if anyone knows of any old
repositories? The file has been requested remove-from-disk @ LaunchPad.

I found some info, but nothing too in-depth. I was able to 'decompile,'
the
DSDT table, but when I go to recompile it(AML compiler).. the compiler
complains about errors. This is without even doing any modifications.
I don't have any experience with BIOS hacking, but since you haven't
gotten any replies so far, I will mention this (which you likely already
know).
You didn't state which compiler you are using. There are two AML
compilers, an Intel compiler and a Microsoft compiler. They don't
produce the same result. The Intel compiler is recommended for Linux.
