I am also current with a General (N4FFD) and have two portable 2M rigs
(Yaesu FT290R <http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/750> - used to be a hell
of a rig - portable, battery op, all-mode radio) and I might consider
donating them if someone wants to take on the tasks of getting them
operating again. The rigs support CW, USB, LSB and FM and are very portable.

I haven't been on the air for 15 years or so - since getting into Cellular
really. I miss it and may get back in, someday. I was pretty well known in
the area back in the '80s. I was married by a ham, at a ham's house and had
a talk-in on 145.135. I also ran Hudson Valley Net at my assigned time of
1900 on my wedding night. It was that bad.
