I had a thoroughly enjoyable time at the July Arduino meeting. I think
making a yearly Arduino night is a great idea. Where else do you
combine hardware and software in such an interesting, low cost, and
innovative way? The film was great, and I enjoyed seeing every one's
projects. In fact I'll have to build Joe's temperature sensor right
away. Where I work I have a window office, so I'm right by the air
vents. Even in summer it is so cold where I sit I have to wear a
sweater most days, and my fingers get so cold it's often hard to type.
The way Joe had it set up the temperature was being sent to an editor
on his computer. If I can rig that up I can then save the files to
document how frigging cold it is where I sit!

Also great meeting Ed Nisley. As I told Ed I'm a big fan of his
writing from way back. In fact, I just picked up a huge stack of old
Dr. Dobbs so now I can put Ed's handsome, bearded fact to his writing
:)

Sorry I had to leave so soon - I wanted to get home early so I could
watch the USA women world cup soccer team on the DVR. You might know
how that turned out :)

Great job on the meeting, hope to see you next month for Scala.
