Hello there, My name is David Battaglia I was wondering if I can be added to your mailing list. I am also a member of CDLUG just to let you know that I am not a spammer.
I also have a question, well more of seeing what people's opnions are. Some background info on me before I state my question is probably the best way to help you naviagate to an answer. I finished my degree in computer network systems about 8 months ago, I have roughly 5 years of experience working in IT...I worked the usually helpdesk, field tech for a while, now I work in network operations which I have been doing for the past 3.5 years for two different companies. So here is my question finally, I would like to further myself but without going back to school I am already in enough debt as it is. I was thinking about obtaining certifications mainly cisco (i.e. ccna, ccnp and then a concentation) as a means to further myself. What are your thoughts when it comes to IT certifications? Are they worth the trouble? What kind of value do they hold? Any other information or insites beyond the questions that I listed are welcomed as well. Thank you for your time, David Battaglia
