Before doing anything rash (involving large amounts of force applied to a plastic part), maybe you can get around actually removing the sensor? I won't be able to watch the video for 3 or 4 more hours (YouTube appears to be blocked here at work). Keeping in mind that I haven't watched or read the instructions, might it be better to snip/bridge a wire or cut/bridge a trace? Or even, just paint over/tape over the sensor? That would depend on what the sensor is doing in "unjammed" operation vs. "jammed". I think these are usually a spring-loaded physical switch that opens/closes on paper against it. Figure out what it's supposed to be doing in "unjammed", and maybe you can do something more reversible (and safer) than ripping out a sensor and risking breaking something.
