If you can still find a copy, there was a rather good VERY SHORT LIVED
magazine called "Smart Developer" that published about 3 issues this year.
They had some sample code and came with a CD or DVD.  While the magazine
covered all smart phones (not just Android devices) they did have a number
of good Android articles.

I'll try to bring my copies Saturday.
