We had a great turn out at ADD1 a few weeks ago and almost everybody
left with the SDK installed and Hello, world running on their device.
Riding high on that experience, we've already scheduled ADD2 which will
be held on 14 Jan 2012 from 11am-4pm. The hope is that this time most
people will have Hello, world running and we can help each other over
the new hurdles we've hit since then. I've posted details on
squidwrench.org <http://squidwrench.org>:

The description contains links to some resources to help get you caught
up, if you didn't make it to ADD1 but would still like to participate.
If you plan on attending please RSVP in the squidwrench forums or at
meetup: http://www.meetup.com/squidwrench/events/44912392/ so we can be
sure that we have enough room/donuts/snarky comebacks for everyone. I'll
be talking a bit more about ADD1 and ADD2 at the MHVLUG meeting on
Wednesday and historically I give better information when I'm being
heckled, so do everyone else a favor and come taunt me for five minutes
before Sean Dague's talk.

First, I want to concur with Thor, ADD1 had a great turnout, and much thanks should go to him, Mike and Amanda for coming up with the idea and making it a reality.

I know a few people had reservations on coming out because they thought they didn't know enough yet. But a lot of the first event was just about getting the dev environment setup and getting a basic "Hello Android" sample app going. So if you manage to do that before ADD2, you'll be at the same place a lot of other folks are, and can jump right in mid stream.

I'm personally quite looking forward to attending ADD2.
