A couple of months ago Sean Dague mentioned GitHub in his "Getting
Involved in Open Source" talk. For those who were not there and have
not heard about it, GitHub is a great online code repository and
community chock full of great tools for collaborating on software
development. (github.com)

Anyway, Wired Magazine did a sort of recursive experiment by
pre-publishing their recent article about GitHub, on GitHub, and
allowing collective editing take its course. The results are
interesting, and demonstrate how sophisticated and relevant the open
source development community has become since the days of Apache and
Linux.
