I recently switched to doing google apps for domain on dague.net, which I have to admit has some interesting, and unintended consequences. One of which is that picassa is basically unusable now, as it's largely been made a sub feature of plus, and doesn't understand multiple google accounts. I was never in love with it anyway.

Must haves:
 * eyefi can sync to it
* can share from it to facebook, twitter, or my blog (honestly, picassa kind of fails here)
 * Linux tools know how to talk to it
 * some sane API for full archival (if it's not something I can self host)

Nice to have:
 * be open source, so I can self host
 * support face detection
 * can do cool stuff with geocoded photos
 * make it easy to get prints

I'm reasonably aware of the major commercial offerings, but I've not really been paying attention to the open source space here. Would love to hear about anything people have been using that they really like recently.

Thanks in advance,

    -Sean
