Hey all, it's that time of year again, when we start looking for
nominations for officers for the group.

Jack and I have agreed to self nominate again for Historian and President
respectively.

However we need to find a new Program Director and Publicity Officer for
MHVLUG. After two years of great work both Paul and Ben need a break and a
great send off. They've both done an amazing job in those roles.

Here are the job descriptions:

Program Director - responsible for lining up speakers and setting the
content for the MHVLUG lecture series from April 2013 - March 2014,
communicating with them, and ensuring their needs are handled for giving
the talks. We spend a decent amount of time at every leadership meeting
generating ideas, so what might look like a daunting task is not that bad,
as there is actually a pretty big idea and contact queue. Coordination and
organization are the keys.

Publicity - get the word out, via local news outlets, fliers for big
events, social media, any way you want to. We've seen great growth in the
last couple of years, now regularly in the mid 30s and low 40s for
attendance, and we want to build on that. Publicity can mostly be remote,
it's the one officer role that attending the lectures isn't really a
requirement.

If you are interested in either of these positions (or Historian or
President, Jack and I would be happy with competition :) ), or have someone
in mind that you think would be good for them, let me know. Nominations
(self or for others) are open from now until the December meeting.
