Yes, I was very careful to. On google, if the repackager pays for
advertizing, it will show up first. You have to scroll down to find the
real site.

Did you download them from the main sites? e.g. www.libreoffice.org? I
wouldn't be surprised if other unscrupulous parties were repackaging
open-source stuff with their own malware, but I would be disappointed if the
creators were doing so.
Guess again, they are full of toolbars that you have to decline and
other junk. I thought that I had carefully declined everything until I
booted up Firefox. The home page had been changed to the
"Funmoods"search engine.
