You should be aware that if you use programs like Tax Act they back up your data on their mainframe. I just had the experience of putting Windows on a virgin hard drive, installing tax act and, when I logged in, it had all of the data that I had saved to another hard drive and didn't transfer over.
That customer ID that they issue you is your account for all of the information that you would put on a tax return. They probably think that they are doing you a favor, but the "free" version also gives them your financial life story. Mark Wallace Mark Wallace [email protected]
