Thanks, Chris. Well, I DID test it, by doing it, since I couldn't get a second fresh system... :-)
I think I found the issue though. I haven't tested this bit yet, but the basic idea is to know what subdir the system saved to so that you can put that dir back in after the new load comes up... Sigh. Don't get old.
