Hello Ron
OK, I installed samba 1.9.16p6 (I think) and followed Holgers directions I
got from Villiage Tronic's website. After many resets, I finally got AMIGA
in Network Neighborhood on the NT Server box. COOL!
BUT: I can't browse \\Amiga or do anything else to it from NT and my Ami
seems to keep trying to dial out on the modem. (A problem since someone
else was using the phone) I'm sure its a configuration error on my part
somewhere, but have no idea where to look. Any help would be most
appreciated!
Now, I've downloaded samba 2.0.6 from aminet and can't figure out what to do
with it since the directories are different than what Holger describes in
the document I mentioned above. Does the:
[password]
passwd program = /amitcp/bin/passwd
line in smb.conf file need to be changed for ami to access NT and be accessed
by NT
?
Any other advice? this is so much more difficult than what I'm used to...
Am I in over my head? TIA
