I hope somebody knows what is causing an ongoing brake problem on my 90 turbo
car (Stiff spec Miata suspension, slightly less spring)

It all started when I installed 12" Front sport brake set and new calipers (OEM
pads) ....... with stock small 90' rear rotors(Carbotech Panther+ pads)..

**The braking was unbelievably good, no other changes from stock.**

The next week I installed the 12.5 inch sport rear rotors fitted with same
stock small 90 rear calipers OEM sport pads.

**Instant crappy balance (locks front) increased stopping distance, can't lock
the rear even in the rain.**

Stuff I changed to improve.
1) I installed 2001 sport brake rear calipers (which pistons' have a larger
diameter) Minor improvement.
2) Installed adjustable proportioning valve (minor improvement) not nearly
enough.
3) Turned all rotors and installed Porterfield R4? (sport streetable pads) no
balance change there
4) Removed adjustable purporting valve and replaced with a straight pipe (no
change)

The pedal is high and tight and does not feel like it is hitting the second
system, front wheel hubs are new and tight.
I am running Kuhmo Victoracers, and I can lock the front at will, from cold,
especially the RF. Careful modulation improves stopping distance somewhat, but
it just ain't right..

Before I replace the master, Has anybody had a similar problem?? there is
nothing else to replace, the older rear flexible lines appear to be in good
condition.
What is the difference in the 02' master and will it fit??

Any help appreciated.

Regards
Charles
