LINK keeps default settings (there  are 4 of them) and one saved setting in 
the non-volatile memory.  When  the power is applied to LINK, it loads the 
saved settings to start.

It  doesn't matter whether the battery was disconnected or  not.



Everyone is either pulling my leg today or no one has understood the  
question.
Yes, the DEFAULTS, as in Turbo1, Tubo2, etc are permanent.  The TUNING  and 
settings calibrated on the road that we must acquire via coarse and fine  
tuning are my concerns.  These are temporary and are lost when one  disconnects 
battery power.
