Robert, I checked with my friend with the street rod and he says the rules
have changed since he got his done.  He thinks that as long as you have the
original title for the car you need to go down to DMV and explain the
situation.  He says don't be surprised if you have to deal with Columbia to
get it taken care of though.

i dont know for sure, but i'll bet in ct you have to trace your linage back
to the mayflower to do anything at dmv.
