I'm taking the '99 head to the machine shop today for a rebuild + comp. valve job, along with the '97 1.8L block + Wiseco pistons (getting bored) and valve guide seals from the '97 engine gasket kit -- MazdaComp, I think?
Couple questions: 1. The valve guide seals are intended for a '97 engine. Will they fit my '99 head? Or do I need to buy a seperate set of valve guides for a '99 engine? 2. The valve guide seals are color coded -- 8 of them are black, and 8 of them are green -- implying that there's a difference between the intake and exhaust seals.
