I haven't messed with the brake pedal but about a decade and a half ago I
pulled the gas pedal out of the car and clamped it in my vice.  I set up an
index point (somehow, it was a long time ago and I don't remember exactly).
I applied sufficient force to bend it about 1/2 inch closer to the floor, at
which point it did not yet impede the pedal movement but moved the contact
point a significant enough distance from the normal position to enable a
much more relaxed leg position.  That, and an additional spring on the
circular cable crank on the throttle axle to give stronger pedal return
force, and I can drive great distances and time without cramping up my lower
leg muscles

I think that the brake pedal would require some form of cutting and welding
to affect much change.  I don't use the brake all that much anyway. ;-)
