I haven't messed with the brake pedal but about a decade and a half ago I pulled the gas pedal out of the car and clamped it in my vice. I set up an index point (somehow, it was a long time ago and I don't remember exactly). I applied sufficient force to bend it about 1/2 inch closer to the floor, at which point it did not yet impede the pedal movement but moved the contact point a significant enough distance from the normal position to enable a much more relaxed leg position. That, and an additional spring on the circular cable crank on the throttle axle to give stronger pedal return force, and I can drive great distances and time without cramping up my lower leg muscles
I think that the brake pedal would require some form of cutting and welding to affect much change. I don't use the brake all that much anyway. ;-) Ralph Alder Team Orphan Aerodyne (remember that one?) > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > On Behalf Of Geoff > Sent: Wednesday, May 21, 2008 7:06 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Cc: Miata Power List > Subject: Re: Brake Pedal Adjustment for Taller Drivers > > Bryan: Give Mike Paar of "Mike's Place" a call.
