Actually this isn't his lightweight car. This is what was his wife's car
and he is not deconstructing it.

Never enough things to mess with at the McElwee house!!! J

I checked my mileage today and it is up 50% since I started the
project (30.5 MPG vs 20.0 MPG). I'm pretty psyched about it because I
have not really spent much time working on the car. It would seem that
I could possibly get to 40 MPG now instead of the 35 that I had for a
goal. So far the only mods I have done are removing the SC (intake is
just a PVC coming 90 degrees out of the manifold with an FM purchased
K&N filter), pumping the tires up to 50 PSI, and dropping the Master
Fuel from 100 to 90 (RC 440s). Of course, I have changed my driving
habits quite a bit.

as i remember, i was getting ~28 with a 95 jrsc, k&r, top up. you also have
- 400 lb's right? are you a lead foot normally? i am also concerned with 50
lb in the tyres, (fear and loathing in miata-land :)

imho peter
