OK. It's likely we can rule out the A/C, but a clutch issue seems just as unlikely, since the chief complaint is that it happens at cruise, at a time when the clutch is not in slip.

Today--in the middle of the busiest intersection in the area--the car decided to buck and die as I was beginning to pull away from the light.
