Well it's time to pull the motor. Compression in #1 cylinder is down to 70, the others are all >180. What is the preferred method for a driveway removal, separate the tranny first or pull the engine/tranny as a package? Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.
Also, the motor runs like it has a rag stuffed in it (cruises okay but no power, static timing good) and has been blowing a lot of oil out the tailpipe. Would synthetic oil cog or damage the cat converter? TIA, Mark
