To indirectly answer the question:

Find out what helps a plug spark and what kind of spark is best for
complete combustion.

My limited research led to current density and spark length (respectively).

The heat range is responsible for cooling the cylinder via the head.  you
want to run as hot as possible without increasing detonation propensity.

So... I run run Denso iridiums in roughly one range colder and with a
stock gap (COP setup).
