Don't the drifters use open diffs?  I think the kids without a lot of money do, at least.

I'm talking about the actual differential unit inside the pig (the thing the axles hook to), not the casing. Front steel and back aluminum case halves are already in the scrap pile. :)

Just wondering if a <30k mile open differential unit has any value *other* than in scrap.. I'd hate to toss out a $50 part for $2.50 in scrap. I know the torsens obviously have value, but wasn't sure if there was any sort of market for the open diffy..

$.050 per pound for the aluminum at the recycler.

Got my differential swapped around, which leaves me with a spare open diffy for the 7" rear end cars.. this have any value or should I just toss it on the scrap steel pile??
