The first picture was taken late in the day with overcast (California smog) lighting, the second in the shop using fluorescent lights and (probably) a flash. You can see the color change in some of these pictures: http://flyinmiata.com/projects/supertuner/current.asp Check out the difference between these two, taken at the same time: http://flyinmiata.com/projects/supertuner/STC/DSCN9880.jpg http://flyinmiata.com/projects/supertuner/STC/DSCN9872.jpg Taken the same day as that first picture of the car posed in winner's circle: http://flyinmiata.com/projects/supertuner/STC/DSCN0044.jpg Inside the shop: http://flyinmiata.com/projects/supertuner/STC/DSCN8940.jpg Outside the shop: http://flyinmiata.com/projects/supertuner/STC/DSCN8974.jpg Like I said, a fun car to photograph.

I always mentally pull up this pic when someone mentions Elvis: http://flyinmiata.com/projects/LS1/index.php?UID=1 When I saw the following pic, I was surprised: http://flyinmiata.com/projects/LS1/index.php?UID=35 The Lotus color looks almost exactly like my car! -Bryan --- On Tue, 8/12/08, Keith Tanner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Elvis was repainted in Lotus "Laser Blue" as soon as we got it. Since it's a Lotus color, it changes quite a bit depending on ambient light. Sometimes it looks a bit like Miata Crystal Blue, sometimes it looks a bit like Miata Laser Blue - and the common name adds some potential confusion. It's a really fun car to photograph because of how it changes.
