The 1.6 would get seriously lethargic at stoplights with the CTS diff.

I have been debating with a coworker about how Elvis gets better gas mileage
now as a LS1 vs running a 4 cyl. I know it is due to the CTS diff and taller
gearing. It started me thinking.......always has the potential to get dangerous
with me.

What would a 1.6 FMII get with the CTS diff vs the Torsen I am running now.
Also, as I recall from my Torsen swap there was not alot involved in changing
it over.

What I thought would be cool is to simplify the swap by making the 1/2 shafts
two piece and be able to change over the Torsen CV side over to the CTS CV
side. Run the CTS diff for gas mileage and swap in the Torsen for having
serious fun. And if I ever have my dream come true be able to swap in the
Torsen for SERIOUS FUN with the LS1 engine.......
