Thanks for the info! Looks like from the MPG responses that my car is about right, I underestimated the expected MPG and the later sub's with bigger motor and in some cases auto trans, would deliver about the same or almost same gas mileage!
Can I find an AWD solution of any kind, that gets closer to 30? Havent found it yet! So far, for $1600 I like the sub though... -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, September 01, 2008 11:57 PM To: Larry Alster Cc: Chris; [email protected] Subject: Re: NMC - OTM Subaru MPG question I drove '98 Impreza wagon with a very similar 2.2l and 5-speed, and I averaged 24-25 mpg in mixed driving, and 28 or so on the interstate. It was a great car, very stout. Just don't panic when missing a 1-2 shift while trying to climb out of the mud. 2nd gear can be ground down in a heartbeat ;) On 8/31/08, Larry Alster <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I've got a 2006 Impreza 4 door and get 16MPG daily.
