Well, I was playing with the generator and thinking about possible solutions
and then it hit me. I'll just pipe it in to my 220V circuit I built for my
Mig welder. I need to get a little longer cord to get everything set up the
way I want it but my initial test was successful. I was able to power the
entire house through the 220V feed from the generator (of course, all 220V
stuff was killed at the breaker box). Problem solved!

I'm still not sure what the problem with that GCFI is but it is not used
when I go with 220V. Thanks guys!

I do see I have some sort of fueling issue with the generator (I can see
that my clear fuel filter keeps emptying out and killing the motor). I'm not
sure if I am vapor locking or there is something plugging the line in the
fuel tank. It wasn't doing this earlier today. At least I have something to
play with for the rest of the afternoon.
