Well it's just a bolt, so as a factory manual might say, "step 1, remove bolt". No trick to it, just crazy tight. ratchet? Doesn't sound like the right tool. I used a 2ft breaker bar + 4ft pipe on it and it took several days to get the bolt out, alternating between cranking on it and soak time with various bolt removal lubricants.
