I'd suggest using a 3/4" drive breaker bar and socket. Unfortunately they can be quite expensive and somewhat hard to find. Several years ago I picked up a 3/4" drive ratchet set of Chinese origin for only $30. There have been a few occasions when I was very glad I had it. When I changed out my differential was one, and my car has never been exposed to road salt or winter weather.

FYI, Harbor Freight currently sells 3/4" ratchet sets for $49.99 & $59.99.
