I see what you are saying about the waste gate.  That didn't click at first
read.  I'm really not sure what that would do. Essentially it comes down to
how much boost creep you will get with the gate wide open.  Is this an OBD-I
or OBD-II car?

Yes, with the turbo still attached I would like to generate as little
boost as possible (ideally none). Basically I need to run the car with
stock ECU and injectors and the AFM strapped back on for a day or so.
I could probably just be very light with my right foot to prevent ever
getting into boost, but if there is some way of limiting (or
eliminating) the boost, that would be ideal.
